Larson attended Cedar Park Christian High School.

After finishing high school, Zack enrolled at Seattle Pacific University, a private liberal arts university in Seattle, Washington, where he studied and majored in Biology.

Moreover, he was a deckhand on the F/V Cape Caution, another boat run by his father.

When not fishing, Larson splits his time between Washington, Seattle, and Mexico.

In May 2017, Zack announced that he has parted ways with Captain Wild Bill Wichrowski and has joined F/V Brenna A with Captain Sean Dwyer.

Quotes

”When fishing is terrible, everything that is sore starts to bother you, everything anybody says annoys the hell out of you, and you start to question your career choice. When fishing is great, you’re not thinking about being home and loved ones.”

” Took a lot to get the gear ready to fish cod, but we are making our move to the grounds now.”

”Our workdays can last over 50 hours. And normally we work easily 20-hour days. I was already used to working 10- to 12-hour days at my previous job.”

”Growing up I never thought about fishing as a career. Even into my early twenties, I still hadn’t given it a thought.”
